Itinerary:
The hike begins at the far end of the Mount Lougheed viewpoint parking lot. The trail is relatively flat through the trees for a few kilometers, and then starts to gain elevation as you ascend toward the ridge. Shortly after breaking above treeline the views begin. At this point there is a short, but very steep section with some slippery gravel to navigate followed by a steep grassy area. Near the top we will encounter a short scramble about 2 to 3 meters high. The scramble is on solid rock with lots of good handholds. After this the trail is straight forward, and easy to follow up to the top of the ridge. We will have lunch on the top of the ridge.

How to Get There:
Event Directions: Drive West on the TransCanada Hwy-1. Take Exit 98 to Dead Man's Flats. Turn right onto Second Street. At the stop sign turn right onto Second Ave. Second Street becomes George Biggy Sr Road. Follow this for 2.1 km. Turn right onto Three Sisters Parkway and proceed to the Mount Lougheed viewpoint parking lot.
