Coliseum Mountain trail was well maintained, well graded and easy to follow. We enjoyed the mix of walking in the forest, the easy traverse across shale and ascent to the top of the aptly named summit. The weather was perfect, the company was fantastic, views were wonderful and we met a couple of great families with kids and en route. We also met a man and his adult daughter who hiked up to pay homage to their late dad/grandpa in remembrance of his birthday. He grew up in Nordegg until just after the mine closed, when they relocated to Red Deer, and got the rights to bottle Coca Cola for the surrounding area. They continue to this day as distributors. On another note, we're not sure why there was a pair of black mens undies at the large cairn...and so we let them there in case the owner shows up. Pass this on if you know who that might be!! Thanks Patricia, Wouter, Lorna, Patrick and Berthilde for an awesome day!!!! Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album?
