We started on a southbound trail I've used many times in the past and which now I won't walk on again. Beaver activity has turned this part of the Weaselhead into a wetlands, and this time of year we walked across a series of frozen ponds. Thankfully the ice we crossed was solid and as Bill's photo shows, we saw a gorgeous display of bubbles. The group was very forgiving of my choice to lead them on this adventurous route. Once off that path, the rest of our walk was uneventful, on more mainstream trails. Thanks, Bill, for the photos. Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Photo Historian at photos.team@calgaryweekendhikers.com. Please note that we prefer to receive the photos in full size as a .jpg file However, please recognize that we will re-size the photos to below 4MB. Therefore, if other members choose to download your photos, they will receive the photos at below 4MB. If you have a LOT of photos, please submit up to twenty favorites (only) for a day event. Or up to forty of your favourites for a multi-day event. Thank you. PLEASE: send files in emails as "attachments." DO NOT: send photos "embedded" in the email. Thank you. |
