Write Up:
Six of us went up Mnt Proctor. Originally planned to do the whole loop but when we arrived at the trailhead at 8:00, there was a trail closure with no explanation. The Visitor Information was closed until 9:00. So we had to start the hike clockwise. We went into relax mode knowing we can only do the one side and enjoyed the flowers and the beautiful scenery. We went up 1,100 m and had lunch just below the ridge. There was still a lot of snow around and we decided to turn back. A gorgeous hike and we would highly recommend it. We will be back next year a bit later and do the loop.
