On Wednesday, the highest trail in the Canadian Rockies (which was built by the Rocky Mountain Ramblers to commemorate Canada's Centennial) was assaulted with enthusiasm and energy by this little troupe of Calgary Weekend Hikers. The weather cooperated though we had the inevitable blasts of wind that challenged our ability to keep our poles and bodies on the trail. That final trudge to the top (1440 m elevation gain) was well worth the amazing view. On the way down, the breeze was actually warm and we found that the bear warning was right on, though he/she was a good kilometer or so away. Great hike with tenacious hikers!!
