The Lake Minnewanka trail was closed (indefinitely) when we arrived at the parking lot. It was decided that we would proceed to Johnston Canyon and head up to the Ink Pots. It was an enjoyable hike with a reasonable number of tourists. There was hot sun and some breeze along the trail. We had a relaxing lunch by the river. Hiking back to the parking lot went as planned with little to no rain to speak of. Thanks to Ali, Sedi and Marguarite for accompanying me. GREAT company.
