We started on the trail at 10:15 The weather was ideal for hiking. Sunny and overcast. The new trail, since the flood is good. Parts of it has wood chips which makes for soft footing. There was one section past the Blueberry turn off which was a boggy for a short distance. We quickly discovered that mosquitoes love to live here. It was very pleasant at lunch. We had treats to celebrate birthdays for Donna G and Hilda. We followed the HYDROLINE down and near the end of this trail,we spotted an adult grizzly happily eating. We backtracked back 2 km to Patterson where we connected back to the main trail. Our trip ended up being about 17 km. Thanks to everyone who contributed to a great day out in a beautiful area. Ps. I reported the bear sighting, Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Photo Historian at photos.team@calgaryweekendhikers.com.
